Stillpoint
A beautiful content library with a brutal problem: four in five people stopped opening the app in week two.
80% of new users stopped opening the app before week three. The content library was strong — the habit around it simply didn't exist.
The library wasn't the product; the daily habit was, and it needed to be designed on purpose rather than assumed. A short, honest daily ritual could earn the right to recommend deeper content later.
A three-minute daily check-in that sets the day's session and shows progress honestly — habit before catalogue.
Session selection personalised on mood, sleep and streak data, with clinical safety rails and no generated therapeutic advice.
A lifecycle programme driven by real behaviour data, paired with trust-first content that carried clinician review.
We prototyped the three-minute check-in concept and tested it with real users before writing any production code, since the whole bet was on habit formation, not feature count. The lifecycle messaging system shipped alongside the check-in so retention work started from day one, not after launch.
